Samaritan Ministry

Description

About

Samaritan Ministry works to assist and minister to persons who are living with HIV and to educate, advocate and to otherwise seek support in the fight against this disease.

Our Mission

Our church should be a beacon of light, hope, and Christian support to anyone who is living with, or has family or friends who are living with HIV/AIDS.

Through Christ, we are also working to bring an end to this epidemic with HIV testing and prevention education. We recognize the importance of our engagement with the concurrent epidemics of Hepatitis C and the Opioid Crisis as they negatively impact the ongoing efforts to eliminate new HIV cases in our community.

Hope for the Holidays

The annual Samaritan Ministry Hope for the Holidays project takes place each year in November. Each Christmas season, Central Bearden partners with Samaritan Ministry to gift toiletries and other items to our friends who are living with HIV in the Knoxville area. The Hope for the Holidays “Hope Bag” shopping list can be found at http://www.samaritancentral.org/hope/

Volunteer
Samaritan Ministry is always seeking volunteers to assist with the many activities of the ministry. If you would like to volunteer, you can email us at [email protected].
