Worship & the Arts

Worship is telling and celebrating the true Story of a loving and living God. In community gatherings, the church is centered on the Lord, glorifying God in response to who He is! Musical, visual, technical and dramatic arts are incorporated in worship.

Children

CB Kids focuses on leading children towards a loving  relationship with Jesus  as we walk alongside parents and children on their spiritual journey.

Students

Our passion is to lead students, grades 6 through 12, to be changed by the Gospel of Jesus and to equip them so they can impact their culture, both today and in the future.

College & Young Adults

Central Bearden College & Young Adult Ministries are communities of faith for all people who are college students, “young” or “adults.”

Encore Adults

The Encore Adult Ministry is a lay-led ministry whose purpose is to enhance the lives of older adults in the church and in the Knoxville community.

Adult Discipleship

Faith Formations Ministries rely on the best Bible study  curriculums and selected courses from various publishers to encourage faith development among all adults.

Missions

As a church, we strategize, and we encourage, train, and equip persons to GO and answer God’s calling for their lives.

Recreation

Central Bearden’s Recreation Ministry brings people together for Christ-centered, fun-filled activities, fitness, health and sports for all ages.

Open Positions

Minister to Children and Families

Principal Function:
Responsible for development, coordination and administration of all aspects of a comprehensive program of Christian education for children from birth to fifth grade with an emphasis on ministering to the total family.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in field related to childhood development or ministry preferred
  • A calling to vocational ministry and a passion to minister through the local church to influence the lives of children with the gospel of Jesus Christ
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with preschoolers and/or children in a ministry environment
  • Experience with administration, evangelism, teaching, leadership and service
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and leading volunteers
  • Must pass criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background checks
